We’re looking for four Catering Assistants to join our teams at our over 55’s schemes. The teams produce a range of healthy, balanced meals for village residents, guests and staff while maintaining a high standard of hygiene, health and safety and customer service. You’ll prepare, cook, present and deliver food to residents and help out with any ad-hoc kitchen duties too.

Job requirements:
Providing nutritional, fresh, balanced food to a high standard considering dietary requirements guests might have.
Making sure all food is presented and served correctly and that all temperature readings are recorded.
Helping to produce new food dishes and contribute to menu ideas under the guidance of your team leader.
Complying with all kitchen rules and standards by following food hygiene, allergen, COSHH, uniform, health and safety regulations and risk assessments.
Monitoring all fridges and freezers making sure they are displaying the correct temperature.
Keeping the kitchen equipment and utensils clean, making sure they adhere to the highest possible hygiene regulations.

  • Receiving and inspecting materials delivered to site.

  • Accurate and concise maintenance of Stores documentation.
  • Maintaining an inventory of all materials stored and advising on purchase when the inventory of a stored item is low.

This position will offer the right candidate a gateway into a career within the Science and Technology industry. Following, the initial Stores Apprenticeship, it is expected that the successful candidate will have a number of opportunities open to build a career with a first-class employer.
